Blue Range Hut

Tararua Forest Park, Wairarapa

A charming 4 bunk hut built in 1958 by the Masterton Tramping Club. The hut is adorned with quirky signage including ‘no parking’ and ‘antenatal clinic’ signs.

Old Cedar Flat Hut

Kokatahi River, West Coast

A basic two-bunk hut in the Hokitika area. This unique historic hut was built for government employed deer cullers and is the best surviving example of its type on the West Coast.

A parting gift of the large scale wapiti research expedition in the late 40’s. Built from leftover materials it is a historic symbol of post war scientific cooperation between NZ & USA.
