Brewster Hut
Haast pass, Mount Aspiring National park
Often referred to as Aotearoa’s most scenic hut, Brewster Hut stands in an awe inspiring location overlooking the Southern Alps at Haast Pass.
It started its life as an A frame biv in 1976, used as shelter in the search for Kokako. After the second edition became run down DOC replaced it with the current hut in 2007. The design and colour was largely inspired by French Ridge hut scaled down to the 12-bunk size.
After making an elaborate Bigature of this hut in 2023 we have had many requests for a Mini version. This limited edition batch is handcrafted from timber and steel, capturing the unique ridgeline detail and double air vents.
These Mini Brewster Huts will sit pride of place in your home as a tangible reminder of your favourite tramp.
Made from salvaged timber and reclaimed steel. Limited Edition of 40. Free Aotearoa Shipping
